Jimmy, stylised as G’me, lives and paints in Malawi. Originally from Kasungu, he has lived in Lilongwe for most of his life. He began painting at the age of eleven, with a keen interest in portraits and land scapes, and occasionally abstracts. He works full-time as a freelance artist, working to commission or selling through galleries and exhibitions and also he is one of Art in the Park event team based in Lilongwe. Jimmy lives in Lilongwe with his wife and three children.
Working usually with palette knives in oils and acrylics and charcoal, graphite pencils, water color,
Jimmy’s art often captures the majesty of Malawi’s landscapes. A master of light, he casts ordinary people going about their work as his broad strokes craft lyrical settings around them.
By turns expressive and ambiguous, his portraits speak to the dynamic diversity of human condition. Often laced with humour or melancholy, his careful palettes evoke the interplay of a range of emotions, underpinned by technical excellence and flair.

As an artist I have a unique touch that if anyone see the artwork has to recognize its done by Madalitso Ziwaoh even without reading my name. Still more I have different genres since we connect with people of different likes. I use oil paints, acrylic paints, pencil, charcoal and watercolor on canvas, mural, plywood, metal, paper, on stone and on any surface. I don't only use paint but also some other things thrown away after being used in the way of recycling them into something artistic. Like news papers to make a subject with a medium called mix media. For example I did a portrait of a child without using any drop of paint but only fabric cutoffs that a tailor throws away. I believe that anything existence is useful. Instead of burning newspapers and fabric cutoffs and pollute the air it is better to recycle those stuff into art.
Madalitso Ziwaoh is a visual artist who specializes in portraits, landscapes, abstracts, wildlife, mural paintings, and signage. A self-taught artist, Madalitso began drawing at age 8 and painting years later.
I did my primary school and secondary school in Blantyre and Balaka Malawi respectively.
Elementary school in Italy, Watercolor lessons at the Universita' Della Terza Eta' and fine art at the Universita' Popolare in Italy in 1997 and 1998 to 1999.
Madalitso’s work has been displayed at the Art In The Park (formerly known as WESM Art Fest), SGW Art Exhibition, Blantyre Arts Festival, Africa Fashion Festival, the Bingu International festival Convention Center, and the British Council, Zomba City Festival visual arts exhibition, Blantyre Farmers' Market, Saint Andrew's International High School Fan fair, Kids Outreach Society Fan Fair, Lilongwe Farmers' Market, Jacaranda Cultural Center, and KwaHaraba Art Gallery among others.
