Chisomo Lifa is a Malawian multi talented visual artist who works with various mediums according to the resources around him. Chisomo was born on 18 June 1995 in family of 9, he is the second from last born in the family.
Chisomo was born in Salima and did his primary and secondary education in Chipoka at Chipoka full primary school and Malowa Community secondary school respectively. He wrote Malawi schools certificate of education examination in 2013 and passed.
In December 2014 Chisomo discovered himself as an artist and sketched a self portrait during recovery period from malaria he suffered for couple of days in December 2014. He showed his drawings to his mother and she encouraged him to work hard so that he could earn a living from it.. Chisomo kept on practicing from that till now.
He did a number of exhibitions across Malawi and some online art exhibitions such as Egyptian cultural week in 2016, Takulandirani art expo in 2017, Art in the park in 2019, 2020 and 2021. And attended second international Medical and health humanities conference in 2019. He conducted some art workshops in various international academies such as Mount Saini International in Lilongwe, also during art in the park exhibitions and worked for 5 months Kalibu International academy as part time art teacher in the 2019, currently he is doing door to door art lessons to kids with interest in art.
Chisomo came to the face of the society in 2020 August after he did the portrait of senior council which attracted national and international recognition.
