Gwirize Cultural Village is a true rural village where you can experience traditional dances like Gule Wamkulu, Chisamba and Chitelera which are most popular amongst the Chewa people.Then we also offer other traditional experiences like Local Food Preparations, Local beer preparations, handicraft skills exhibitions, Traditional games by children among others plus a Village tour.
Before you come to the village,you are encouraged to make a booking of what you want to appreciate while in the village and for how long so that the cultural village can prepare for your booking but also at the same time to avoid your visit coinciding with another group of visitors during the same time you want to pay us a visit. From Salima town at Kamuzu road, you travel on the Salima-Chingeni road and after 2km you turn to the left hand side of the fourways on the earth road. From the turn off on the dirt road you drive 8km then you reach a Gwirize trading centre where you ask anyone for the cultural village centre.
