Meet different wildlife species on horseback in a stunning natural area close to Lilongwe!
There aren’t many horses in Malawi, and even less places where you can go riding as a visitor. Now you don’t have to look any further. Come to Horseback Adventures at Kuti Wildlife Reserve in Salima. The drive takes you only 1.5 hour from Lilongwe, Malawi’s capital. Perfect for a day trip and even better for an overnight escape from town.
The famous Lake Malawi is only 30 minutes away, so you can conveniently combine a visit. Kuti Wildlife Reserve is one of the country’s most special places, and an unmatched location for horse riding in Malawi. This 2000 ha protected area doesn’t have any predators or other dangerous wildlife, making it suitable to explore the bush on foot, mountain bike and of course on horseback. Kuti's landscapes are beautiful, and if you're lucky you encounter zebras, giraffe, wildebeest and other wildlife.
We welcome visitors with any level of horse riding experience. The horses look forward to welcoming you. And so do we!
