Tiyamike Sewing is a non-profit sewing school and store that focuses on offering disadvantaged women the chance to learn to sew for free.n After the program completion they can support themselves by selling their products.
After graduating from our nine-month sewing program, learners receive a sewing machine and begin to build their tailoring business at home. For two years following graduation, women are invited back to receive work to take home to sew so they can continue to develop in their sewing skills whilst slowly building their business.
These unique sewn goods are made from chitenje and sold in our shop where most of the profits from the sales go back to the women, the other portion of the profits go back to the work of Tiyamike Sewing so we can continue to help women in need.

We also accept donations to help fund Tiyamike Sewing. so that we can continue to empower underprivileged women and girls in Malawi.
