About the Lodge
The only female owned and managed business in Cape Maclear. The Warm Heart Adventure Lodge is based in Chembe Village, Malawi. A comfortable mid-range lodge, comprising of two uniquely designed en-suite beach front reed chalets and three beach front reed chalets with shared showers and toilets. We have one en-suite beach front cottage that sleeps up to 4 people and a dorm that sleeps six. The gardens offer some lovely shaded area's for those who want to camp and the lake is literally meters away from your room.
Why choose Warm Heart Adventures Lodge?
Chembe village is as much part of the Warm Heart Adventure Lodge as it is of the village. All of the staff are employed from the village, and Kay the owner and Flora the manager are both passionate about celebrating the local culture as well as being a source of social change.
When you stay here you have the opportunity to:
Feel a part of your local environment. The lodge is a part of the village and the lake is the life blood of the community. Most of the community do not have access to water in their homes, and the local taps set out along the main street are only on during certain times of the day. There are few places where you can relax in the seclusion of a hammock and retreat to your room, while also being able to immerse yourself in local village life from the comfort of your deck chair. Villagers come to the water to play, bathe, wash items and fetch water for their homes. The lodge also has a close relationship with Sinthana Community Centre.
The cottage and the chalets are all beach front, with spectacular views of the lake and nearby islands. We deliver a breakfast tray of homemade granola, seasonal fruit, Mandasi's/Breakfast biscuits, tea & coffee to your private balcony every morning. Allowing you to take in the incredible lake view as you enjoy your healthy breakfast!
This is the perfect place for a getaway.
