Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, sic genero nomine Piscatore mihi.

The Livingstonia Trail starts from Nyika Plateau and follows the trail missionaries took to and from Nyika and Livingstonia Mission in Rumphi. It's a two night/three day day hike comprising of approximately 6-7 hours trekking per day. The hike involves real wild and exciting camping along the trail.

Osman Zgambo trades under Osman Arts and was born in 1988 in T/A Chikulamayembe Rumphi district.
I'm a self-taught visual artist. I discovered my art passion at the age of 11. Now i boast 21 years of experience in visual arts which i developed through research, learning and practicing new techniques, especially online. This has helped me to sharpen my talent to master the use of pencils, ballpoints and paints in both acrylics and oils.

The depiction of my artworks is based on different social life especially in african rural atmosphere which portrayed in human figures, landscapes, wildlife and fishermen's lives (inspired by Lake Malawi).

Everytime when I'm working on a new project, i work like it's my last project. I dedicate myself to give a strong physical presence that enhance my art skills to portray a life-like artwork. With full focus on figure and sharp eye for colours manipulation, proportions and scale which often blends well for better results.

In 2019, I participated in Youth Artivisim event that took place at Community House Salt River Capetown. In the same year African Climate Alliance NGO awarded me a contract to paint Murals on Rugby Stadium walls in Khayelitsha Capetown.

In 2020, I joined Capetown TV to celebrate Public Art and World Food Day in collaboration with the Co-operation and Policy Altanetive Center, SA Food and Sovereignty Compaign and other civil society organizations that were engaged in a process to develop a climate justice charter for South Africa through visual arts.

In general, you have to follow the rule: cook, boil, fry or peal it!! All the other foods and drinks are off limit. Excellent fish dishes are widely available but especially near Lake Malawi. All venues on Malawi Travel comply to the international Hospitality, food and safety standardss. Most accommodations and safari camps serve “western” dishes with local foods such as n]Nsima (cornmeal porridge)..
Soft drinks are available everywhere. Beers, South African and local wines and some spirits are reasonably priced and commonly available. Carlsberg has its only African brewery in Malawi and its beers are found throughout the country. Known by their bottle label colours, ‘greens’ and ‘browns’ will fast become the drink of choice for beer drinkers. Malawi is rightly proud of its own gin and a ‘Malawi Gin & Tonic’  is by far the most popular spirit drink ordered in bars and restaurants around the country. As the first country in Africa to grow tea, the locally produced teas and coffees are also well liked. For drinking, bottled or cooked water should be used instead of tap water.

Malawi’s cities offer a good choice of dining options, many of which are found in the big hotels and resorts. Haute cuisine, Indian, Chinese, Korean, and European restaurants can be enjoyed, all of which utilize fresh poultry, fruit, vegetables, and dairy products of this agricultural land. Malawi’s local specialty is the Tilapia from Lake Malawi, and the basic culinary staple is maize. In regards to nightlife, there’s little available in the Western-style, and what's there is linked to restaurants in the bigger hotels and some bars in Lilongwe and Blantyre.

Buy local from the (street) market vendors. These fresh produces come straight from local farms. This way you support the local community. There is always some one who will teach you the local prices and how to bargain. Handy to learn and know some basic chichewa. Very little english is spoken by the vendors.
